  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 6 slices turkey bacon (chopped)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, cook the chopped turkey bacon until crispy.
  2. Remove the turkey bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned.
  3. Stir in the cooked turkey bacon, then add beef broth along with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if desired.
  4. Simmer on low for about 20 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in butter for added richness before serving hot.
