Indulge in the warm and comforting flavors of Cheesecake Stuffed Apples, a delightful twist on a classic dessert. These tender baked apples are packed with a luscious cheesecake filling made from creamy cream cheese, sweet sugars, and a hint of cinnamon, all drizzled with rich caramel sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
  • Caramel sauce for drizzling
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (to prevent browning of apples)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Thoroughly wash and dry the apples. Core them while keeping the bottom intact.
  3. Drizzle lemon juice inside each apple to prevent browning.
  4. In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and sugars until smooth. Add vanilla, sour cream, and mix well. Fold in graham crackers.
  5. Fill each apple with the cheesecake mixture using a spoon or piping bag.
  6. Place filled apples in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25-30 minutes until tender. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes to brown the tops.
  7. Allow cooling for 10 minutes before serving with caramel drizzle.
