  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • For Topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the mixture. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled.
  4. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar evenly over the top.
  5. Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise again for another 30-45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter after baking.
